Baby Massage Details

There are 3 levels of baby massage. Level 1 and 2 are designed for babies not yet walking, while level 3 focuses on toddlers. The different levels have been designed to provide parents with flexibility. For those who want to learn a simple massage then level 1 is sufficient, the other levels are for those parents who want their massage skills to grow with their child.

Level 1 massage is designed to introduce you and your baby to massage without it being too overwhelming. Learn a simple sequence that can fit in with you and your baby. At this course you receive a folder with useful information and your course handouts for you to follow. Oil is provided in each of the sessions.

Level 2 massage is for those parents who want to learn more. It includes additional massage techniques to incorporate in with your level 1 massage and also some reflexology points. During this course you receive additional handouts of all the moves to add to your pack.

Level 3 massage is intended for parents who want to continue massage even though their children are mobile. It shows you how to adapt your massage, maintain your child’s interest and how you can continue to grow your massage with your child.

Prior to starting the course you will be asked to complete a simple health form to advise me of any issues I need to be aware of. These are completely confidential and stored in a locked cabinet. Please note that children with ‘clicky hips’ should not attend the course.

Massage oil or lotion will be provided during each of the sessions and you will need to bring your own towel. For levels 2 and 3 you will also need to provide a toy to help entertain your child.

Prices

Home Sessions: These are one off sessions, as you receive one to one tuition. If you feel you need a refresher of the same level it is possible to book subsequent sessions at a reduced cost.

1 x session (approx an hour) £35
Subsequent sessions (same levels) £25

I also offer a Mother & Baby Package.

This is where baby massage is taught in the home with one to one tuition and then the mother receives a consultation and tailored aromatherapy blend just for her.
This takes up to 2 hours and costs £55.

Group Sessions:

An hour and half is allocated for group sessions to allow you the opportunity to speak to other parents. The first level consists of five weekly sessions while the second and third levels are both three weekly sessions. These groups are designed with small numbers and there will be no more than 6 parents attending the massage sessions. This is to ensure you receive thorough training in a small group where you can feel comfortable asking questions.

Level 1 session £65 Consists of 5 weekly 1½ hour sessions

Level 2 session £40 Consists of 3 weekly 1½ hour sessions

Level 3 session £40 Consists of 3 weekly 1½ hour sessions

A deposit of £35 is payable prior to beginning the course in order to reserve your place. The remaining balance is then payable on the first day of the course. In the event that the course is cancelled you will be contacted to ask if you would prefer to move to a later group session, receive home tuition, or receive a refund.

If you would like details of groups in Bristol or you would like to book a baby massage, please contact me.
